Advances in technology, new ways of thinking about client compliance, and a structured approach to packaging separation anxiety services have made what once seemed nearly impossible – successful resolution of even severe separation anxiety cases – quite doable.

Join Gina Phairas of dog*tec and Malena DeMartini-Price, a California-based San Francisco SPCA Academy grad with over 10 years’ experience and several hundred successful separation anxiety cases under her belt, for the seminar. You’ll learn how to tackle separation anxiety with confidence, help more dogs, and boost your income with this rare and lucrative training niche.

On the training side, you’ll learn:

  • The key components of successful separation anxiety case resolution.
  • How to incorporate simple new technologies to make the work quicker and more accurate. (And don’t worry – you don’t have to be a techie.)
  • How to set up training plans and create the proper environment for client compliance.

On the business side, you’ll learn:

  • How to price, package, and schedule separation anxiety to provide maximum support to the client and be properly compensated for all aspects of working these complex cases.
  • Easy, inexpensive (even free) marketing strategies to take specific advantage of this rare training niche.

Malena DeMartini-Price, CTC:
Malena De Martini-Price is renowned in the dog-training world for her expertise on canine separation anxiety disorder. She is an honor’s graduate of the esteemed San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, where she studied under Jean Donaldson, and is a member of the Association for Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

Malena has been training dogs professionally for over 10 years, and in this time, she has worked one-on-one with hundreds of separation anxiety cases. Her particular strength lies in reading the subtleties of dog body language and guiding owners patiently and with great enthusiasm through the gentle process of healing their dogs. Today, her practice is focused exclusively on the disorder. When she isn’t working with dog owners in person, she counsels, lectures, and writes to further develop awareness and comprehension of this agonizing behavioral disorder.

Malena lives in Northern California with her husband Kevin—also a certified dog trainer—their two rescue dogs, Leia and Tini, and their forever-hungry cat, Kana, who by all estimations will live to be a hundred.

Gina Phairas, BSC Comms, CTC:
Gina Phairas is one of the forces behind dog*tec, the dog pro industry’s leading business consultancy. A former instructor at the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, where she helped trainers learn to teach successful classes, Gina develops products that help trainers succeed in their businesses and works one-on-one with dog pros as a business and case coach. She is a dynamic speaker and gifted teacher who has taught workshops across the country. Gina previously ran a successful dog training business of her own and consulted nationally for shelters and rescue groups.
